Before we get into the specifics of this position, we’d love to introduce ourselves briefly… We’re dreamers. Eight years ago, we envisioned a way to pursue our passions, contribute to Manitoban culture, and build something special. That vision was a brewery which would become our love letter to Manitoba. To honour our province’s past as we shaped its future, we named it Nonsuch.

Opportunity to grow

As our young company grows, new positions develop for our Nonsuch team members. These opportunities are both linear (such as moving from ‘assistant brewer’ to ‘brewer’) and lateral (shifting into other parts of the business.)


 
 

Primary Responsibilities


You’ll be responsible for capturing, coordinating, and sharing content that showcases our brands, products, and atmosphere.

Marketing Coordinator & Content Creator


reporting to

Director of Marketing and Communications

 
 
 

Photography & Videography

  • Making Content – Capturing professional photos and videos of products, events, brewery operations, taproom atmosphere, staff, customers, etc.

  • Coordinating Shoots – Coordinating and directing photo and video shoots on-site and at external locations –  for example brewery-related events, in-house events, licensees (people who sell our beer.)

  • Editing Content – Editing photos (quality, color, and composition) and videos (adding transitions, music, and graphics)

  • Managing and organizing digital asset library

Content Management

  • You’ll be responsible for drafting and sharing content (most often on social media)

  • You’ll be responsible for engaging in online conversations (Facebook comments, Instagram DMs, Untappd rating, etc.)

Other Duties

  • Setting up and installing promotional signage, posters, and displays in taproom

  • Collaborating with Director of Marketing and Communications on content strategy and creative direction

  • Misc. tasks around the brewery, warehouse, and taproom as needed

  • Assisting with visual content for special projects, promotions, and campaigns

Support

  • You’ll be supported in all tasks related to graphic design, visual identity, brand voice, copy writing, etc. This is a team effort!

Working Conditions

  • This position will support Nonsuch and its family of brands – Beauty, Nifty, and Vessel.

  • Brewery production floor, taproom, warehouse, retail partner locations, and outdoor locations; some computer work for editing

  • Part-time position with flexible schedule based on business needs and content calendar

  • Shifts scheduled as needed, primarily during business hours but may include evenings and weekends for events

  • Varying temperature (hot to cold), noise levels, and lighting conditions, indoors and outdoors

  • Varying physical demands; standing for extended periods, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, carrying equipment

  • Ability to work safely around customers, staff, and brewery operations


Requirements

  • Own your own vehicle and maintain a valid drivers license

  • Own your own photo and video equipment

  • A love for Manitoba, Winnipeg and the beverage industry


Salary

This is a part-time position with salary based on experience
