Opportunity to grow

As our young company grows, new positions develop for our Nonsuch family members. These opportunities are both linear (such as moving from ‘assistant brewer’ to ‘brewer’) and lateral (shifting into other parts of the business.)


 

Position Summary

The Event Coordinator is responsible for leading all tasks related to securing, preparing for, and hosting events in our taproom.

 

The event coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events from start to finish. This includes tasks such as developing and managing budgets, securing venues and vendors, coordinating with attendees and speakers, promoting the event, managing logistics and registration, overseeing setup and breakdown, and conducting post-event evaluations.

 

Primary Responsibilities


  • Planning and organizing events, such as conferences, meetings, trade shows, and weddings

  • Coordinating all in-bound events, internal events, and external events such as markets, sampling events, etc.

  • Developing and managing event budgets

  • Identifying and securing event venues and vendors, such as caterers, florists, and equipment rental companies

  • Coordinating and communicating with event attendees, including speakers, sponsors, and guests

  • Developing and implementing event marketing and promotion strategies

  • Coordinating event logistics, such as transportation, parking, and security

  • Managing event registration and ticket sales

  • Overseeing event setup and breakdown, including coordinating with event staff and volunteers

  • Actively pursuing and helping with the coordination of new partnerships and opportunities.

  • Managing on-site event operations, including registration, audio-visual and technical support, and emergency response

  • Assisting with project planning and development, including setting project goals, objectives, and timelines

  • Coordinating and communicating with project team members and stakeholders

  • Managing project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials

  • Tracking project progress and identifying and addressing any issues or delays

  • Facilitating communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders

  • Ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget

  • Providing regular updates to project stakeholders and management

  • Valid Smart Choices Certification

  • Great interpersonal skills

  • Mobile Phone

  • Ability to serve food and drinks

  • Passion for craft beer and top quality service

Nice to Have


  • Ability to speak French

  • Experience with taproom/restaurant service

  • Professional communications skills

Salary


This is a full-time, salaried position (salary based on experience) which includes tips during hours of service.
